Doc G & The Discussants was created around a simple belief:

In an era dominated by outrage, scripted narratives, and predictable opinions, meaningful discussion has become increasingly rare. Too often, people are expected to choose sides, repeat talking points, and defend positions rather than examine them.

Doc G & The Discussants takes a different approach. The show brings together a true Team of Rivals—individuals with different backgrounds, experiences, expertise, and political perspectives—to examine the issues shaping modern life. Politics, culture, leadership, sports, music, technology, education, business, and everyday life are all fair game.

While the Discussants may not always agree, they share a commitment to intellectual honesty, mutual respect, and the belief that good ideas can withstand scrutiny. Speculation is identified as speculation. Facts are treated as facts. Assumptions are challenged. Conventional wisdom is examined. And when necessary, cherished ideas are tested.
